On August 19, 2012 our beloved Courtney Adavia Kemp passed away from what we now know as Cardiomyopathy.  Things happened suddenly.  One day we were laughing and having talks about her first day as a fifth grade student and the next day we were witnessing her take her last breath.  That humid Saturday morning of August 24, 2012 when we laid Courtney to rest, is a day that we wish can be erased from our memory. It was a day of tremendous loss, indescribable sadness, and overwhelming grief.

Today, we continue to grieve this humongous loss that has turned our family upside down and inside out, but not without hope. The Lord has truly turned our grief into greatness like only he can. We have been on a quest since Courtney's passing to bring awareness to pediatric heart disease, to serve individuals and families who have experienced a loss of any kind, and to cover the feet of those who are in need across the world.
